Stroller Pilihan : Baby Jogger City Mini Zip

It depends on you, but these are some of the things that we considered before buying a stroller.

- Seat area yang selesa.
We prefer padded seat. Tu yang paling I suka dengan stroller pilihan I. As I compared to a few high end stroller, seat area dia just a canvas. Plus we prefer ruangan duduk yang spacious bukan jenis bucket seat.

- Easy to handle 
My husband's concern is boleh tak I handle stroller ni sorang diri. Boleh ke I fold & unfold dengan mudah? Boleh ke I angkat masuk dalam boot kereta?

- Budget. 
We had our budget. The stroller price must not exceed RM2000. (I had to eliminate baby zen yoyo from my list *cries*.  )

- Functions
Stroller ni function dia sama je. But I nak yang boleh fully recline. Because I nak pakai dari umur baby 1 months plus. At first I nak stroller yang boleh facing I not only forward facing. But itu bukan  my husband's priority sebab most stroller ada mesh window, so boleh je intai-intai baby.

- Technicality A+
My husband is very particular dengan perkara-perkara technical like stability, sturdiness, alignment, the break function. 4 wheels. Husband I tak berkenan 3 wheels stroller, dia cakap kurang stabil. haha. *engineer*

So we choose Baby Jogger City Mini Zip. Bukan stroller model baru dalam market.. Bukan juga stroller terbaik tapi masih dalam kategori stroller yang baik. Yang paling penting menepati ciri-ciri yang we both agreed.

Ni my daughter at 6 months old. Banyak lagi ruang kiri kanan. 

What we like about it  (& features)

1. canopy yang besar & meterial yang baik. The canopy boleh tutup 2/3 daripada bahagian seat stroller. So, Untuk outdoor use, sangat selesa. One time when we was at JPO, hari hujan, tak lebat sangat and my husband malas nak pusing semata2 nak lalu bawah tempat berbumbung untuk ke kedai seberang. Dia redah je hujan tu, and my daughter tak basah lansung and the canopy pun tak jadi lembab. Just wipe away titisan hujan tu & the canopy kering.

2. Mudah dilipat & kecil. (umbrella) .The folded dimensions are 10.2″H x 12.5″W x 29.5″L. Boleh tegakkan (berdiri) lepas fold. If I'm not mistaken berat stroller ni dalam 8 kg. I sendiri boleh angkat masukkan stroller ni dalam boot kereta or keluarkan.

3. Boleh recline. Almost 180 degree. So baby boleh rasa selesa bila tidur, macam tidur atas tilam.

4. 5 point harness. It has a 5 point adjustable padded harness with center release buckle.

5. Adjustable leg rest. The rest leg is adjustable with two positions: up and down. kalau budak besar boleh kebawahkan, so dia boleh juntai kan kaki dia ke bawah.

6. Basket yang agak luas. Basket bahagian bawah tu boleh muat medium size diaper bag. Boleh tampung berat sehingga 3kg, Plus huge pocket dekat bahagian belakang stroller, boleh letak kunci, etc. Bonus: cup holder.(detachable) Sangat berguna nak letak cawan air Starbucks/ coffee bean / tealive, chatime mak ayah.

7. The seat boleh accommodate daripada newborn baby sampai 25 KG. And also padded. *yay*

8. Front wheel suspension. There is a front wheel suspension that absorbs some of the bumps.

9. Handling pun ok. Kalau handle pakai 1 tangan pun senang, tak ada masalah.


I really hope apa yang I share boleh bantu parents yang tengah tercari-cari stroller apa nak beli. I Understand, some people prefer someting yg popular. To be honest, I almost bought quinny zapp flex plus. Just because my husband and I balik rumah dulu and fikirkan, kami beli sesuatu yang lebih murah & lebih puas di hati kami. Nasib baik I tak ikutkan hormone mengandung I masa tu.

I'm not saying this stroller better than the quinny one, both are great. Cuma fikirlah apa yang you rasa baik untuk you, your baby,  your wallet, your space. Some people prefer untuk beli stroller yg besar sebab cantik & trendy tapi bila nak travel susah, plus sangat tak convenient bila pakai kereta compact. But some people beli stroller yang compact & ringan tapi tak bersesuaian dengan newborn. Sampai sanggup letakkan baby 2 months dalam stroller yang tak boleh fully recline, kesian baby. I saw once baby around 2 months plus naik GB pockit +. Although boleh recline tapi sikit sahaja, tak boleh fully recline.  So, fikir baik-baik. Stroller bukan benda murah. Kalau rasa mampu beli lebih dari 1 stroller belilah macam mana yg nak pun. And tak perlu spend banyak untuk stroller, banyak sebenarnya stroller yang berpatutan dan sangat selesa & bagus. Don't stress out pasal nak beli stroller yang branded & mahal. Sesuaikan dengan bajet.

Apa pun do your own research. Baca review, test dulu dekat kedai. I prefer beli dekat physical store dari beli online. Sebab I boleh test time tu jugak, then I puas hati I bayar. But if you prefer to buy online, make sure pergi baby shop dulu and test your desired stroller.

Btw, I bought this stroller at the curve (first few years) nama kedai dia. I beli masa baby dah lahir, masa I baru habis pantang. Sebab husband I prefer letak baby dalam stroller masa nak test, nak make sure baby selesa.
